Make Your Own Granola Bars

There's a lot of these recipes floating around =)  But, they're fun to make, easy to customize and healthier for you- no preservatives or excess sweeteners!

If you pre- measure all the ingredients, it makes it easier to cook with your kids.

1 1/2 cups old- fashioned oats
3/4 cup whole wheat flour (or brown rice flour)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins 
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup coconut oil
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350*.  Mix together all the dry ingredients.  Add in the oil (make sure it's melted first!) and eggs.  Stir until combined.

Grease a 9x13 baking pan.  Press mixture into the bottom.  Bake 20-25 minutes until firm.  Cool completely, then cut into bars.

Go wild!  Find a mix you like and have fun!
