December Already??

Where has the time gone?  I could have sworn that it was just Thanksgiving weekend!  But here we are almost a week into December already.  Yikes!  I need to get busy on my Christmas projects!

So a quick recap…

Thanksgiving week, my parents flew down for a visit.  We went to the Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park and, eh.  Maybe I was spoiled by Underwater World at the Mall of America, but the aquarium just seemed ho hum.  But the kids had fun, and that’s what matters, right?

Girly- girl was also the only one who was brave enough to touch the sting rays.  Junior- junior was afraid of them and Junior thought they looked too slimy.

Thanksgiving morning, my parents and I got up early and headed to downtown Dallas to run the Turkey Trot.  It was still 70* when we left the house (at 6:30) but by the time we got downtown (7:15), the temps had dropped to 45*.  Which really wasn’t that bad of a temp to be running in =)  My step- mom walked the 5k and my dad and I ran the 8 mile.  The run went a lot better once we split off from the 5k course and lost all the walkers we had been weaving around.  There was one point during the race that we ran on a bridge heading back and could see the massive number of people on the other bridge still heading out.  I think they said there was about 25,000 people there that day.  My dad and I finished up pretty good…  Well, good for me, but slow for him ;) Just over 70 minutes.

The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful.  I didn’t even try to get out on Black Friday to go shopping.  Just not worth it.

Junior took up building houses out of cards.  Right as I took this picture, he bumped the table and the cards fell…

I’m now 17 weeks along.  Time is going pretty quick this time around.  Probably because I’m busy with the other 3 and don’t have time to lay around eating chocolates ;)  Sarge and I are busy trying to figure out names.  But we’re not sharing until lil bean arrives…  And you’ll have to wait until May to know if we’re having a boy or girl =)
