The Week in Pictures

This last week we celebrated my birthday. The kids and grandma made me supper and a birthday cake.

Okay, so he didn't help. But he is cute =)

Junior passed his Lil' Dragon's gold belt test. He was so excited.

Girly- girl finally decided to let me take some pictures of her in her new dresses.

I came across this fabric at a local quilt shop and was inspired to create a dress. It took a bit of planning and help from my MIL to get the final design down, but I think it turned out pretty cute =)

Now if I only had flowers in my front garden for her to pick.

With the craziness of the move last fall, I didn't get a chance to make Girly- girl a Christmas dress. So I figured a Valentine's Day dress would have to do =)

Girly- girl was being very cooperative with letting me take pictures today. And the weather was perfect... Sunny, 75* with just a slight breaze =)

Most of last week was spent in the snow.

Yup, even the big one =)

The DFW area ended up with a record 12.5" of snow in a 24 hour period.

But, it's now Tuesday. It's 50 degrees and the only snow left is on the north sides of buildings and fences.

Easy Valentine's Day Decoration

I can't take credit for this easy decoration. It comes from Rae over at Made By Rae. Such creativity and craftiness =) And be sure you check out her blog in February as it's all about the boy.

Cut out a bunch of hearts in whatever color felt you want and then stitch them together. It works best if you feed from the top of the heart, not the point. Be sure to leave a little space inbetween each heart so they can spin.

I think this would be easily adaptable to any holiday... Shamrocks for St Patty's Day, Easter Eggs or bunnies for Easter... Guess I'm going to have to stock up on my felt stash =)
